On Monday, August 31, Jim and I went to the screening of "Learning to Drive" and after the movie visited with the star of the movie, Patricia Clarkson.
On September 2, I cut out several aprons. These 6 aprons will take me to over 60 made with this pattern.
I may wear out the pattern if I keep going...My mom has another copy...might have to get my hands on that. speaking of mom...here is a picture from the past along the Upper Iowa River...a favorite campsite for my family.
She is still at Aldaya Nursing home. She got rid of the wound vac, and is now able to put weight on her leg. Dad is having some medical issues also, but it appears things are improving. I dislike being so far away. I call my sister Karol a lot, afraid I will wake Mom or Dad from a nap if I call them...and lately I have been busy substituting. A big thank you to all of the prayer warriors out there...I know it has made a difference and we all appreciate that!
On September 4, I went to our favorite retro shop while Jim got his haircut...I found a couple lamps that intrigued me. Vivian might have some spindles...what do you all think?
On September 5, Saturday, Jim and I went to the Congressional Cemetery. We met up with other Masons to help clean up the cemetery.
While we waited for a few more Masons to arrive we met some of the dog walker/ volunteers that have worked very hard to preserve the history and restore the beauty of this national treasure. One lady had an awesome dog and her name was Vivian, she was thrilled to know I had a daughter named Vivian and spelled correctly. We had a nice visit and thanked each other for our Volunteer work in the cemetery.
I liked this idea!
