We have been busy with work, visitors and life in general. We like it that way, but my phone has too many pictures stored on it so I need to blog them into the memories they are!
MAlinda came for a visit for a medical conference. I watched her try on wedding dresses...so much fun! I took many pictures, but will not share those. We went out to eat and toured Alexandria.
On October 30 we went and saw Dewey's band play at a nearby restaurant...lots of fun for us old farts.
On October 7 we took a civil war tour that shared connections to the Mercy Street show coming out on PBS.
It was a rainy day, but a very informative tour and we enjoyed it very much, at least until we got cold.
We came home to eat lunch and then go to a funeral at church. Barbara will be missed. My confirmation classmate and friend Tammy came for a visit and got an evening stroll on the mall after we had dinner near the Carlyle House in Alexandria. It is the night before Veterans Day.
Thanksgiving dinner for Guest House at our church on November 18th. Jessica did a great job singing.
The choir sang as well...NICE! (November 18)
I have started making quilt tops for church sewing group.I'm keeping this one for myself.
On November 21, we got together with the Petersen's. We seem to have started a tradition for making Aebelskiver together. Yum! Cara made a very delicious "Danish" meal of pork roast and new potatoes, green beans and hering horsedeovres to die for. While we mixed up the Aebelskiver the kids played.
Vivian inherited Great Grandma Anna's sewing machine. A great day with family. Next we drove to Dike/ Cedar Falls to see my sister and husband and later my folks and I forgot to take any pictures. Silly me! Did get one taken of the four of us before we parted in different directions. I love being all together...I hate the part when it is time to leave. This may be our environmentally conscious Christmas card...

Mary, I had to look twice!! Vivian looks so much like you, I thought you had dyed your hair. Mele Kalikimaka from our family to yours. We are visiting our oldest daughter, Sara, on the island of Hawai'i.
